About

This is a website about a guy named Clark who can’t do things.

Not big things, mostly. He’s never been asked to lift a car or stop a train, and it’s probably for the best, because he also can’t fold a fitted sheet, end a phone call cleanly, or remember whether he locked the door. The door is locked. The door is always locked. This will not stop him from checking.

The internet is very full of people who can do things — who optimized their mornings, ran the marathon, built the side business, and would love to tell you how. This is the other site. This is for the rest of us, the ones quietly losing to a pickle jar in a kitchen nobody is watching.

There’s no advice here. There’s no five-step framework, no newsletter that will change your life, no thing to buy at the end. There’s just an ongoing, mostly accurate record of the small defeats, written down because it turns out they’re funnier on the page than they are in the moment, and because it’s a strange relief to learn that someone else can’t either.

Stick around if you like. Or don’t — Clark would understand completely. He’s not great at commitment either.
